Last night, @aoifemaria sang my arrangement of Bob Dylan’s “The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll” with @nso_musicians on the lawn of the U.S. Capitol. It’s a song that, while written more than fifty years ago, sadly rings as true today as it did in 1964. I don’t really have the words to articulate how complicated everything felt last night, suffice it to say that we soldier on in the darkness, and continue to fight for justice in whatever ways we can. 🇺🇸💔 📷: Scott Suchman
